Ian was among several Driving Instructors I rang to inquire about driving lessons in south Birmingham. From the start Ian struck me as calm and reasonable and not at all pushy. He gave me a reasonable quote but, as at the time I wasn't sure when I would be able to start lessons, I took it no further. What really impressed me was a follow-up call Ian made a couple of weeks later, when he politely enquired if I had found another instructor and asking if there is anything he could have done better in order to gain my custom. Ian was so reasonable and humble that I resolved then and there to have lessons with him.

First Impressions do count and Ian certainly followed through. I found Ian to be constantly courteous, professional, calm, clear and organised. While flexible with his time, he provided a structured and through approach during lessons. His attitude throughout was always considered and persistent without being intimidating or demanding. I always felt at ease and I could see my progress as each lesson passed. Ian's instructions were always clear and unfussy and I didn't feel any pressure to get things right first time.

I needed far more instruction that I had thought, but I did not regard the 20 hours I spent with Ian a waste of my time or my money. By the time my driving test came around I felt confident in my driving skills was delighted that I passed with nearly a perfect test score (I've never done so well in any other test in my life before!).
